Reporters without Borders and Cyber-Dissent

Posted by Marcos Ancelovici on July 26, 2007

internet-black-holes.jpgThe French NGO Reporters without Borders (RSF) has an interesting map of “internet black holes,” that is, countries where news are not free to circulate on the web. Black holes include, among others, China, Cuba, Iran, Nepal, and Saudi Arabia.

As part of its campaign to fight this situation, RSF provides a Handbook for bloggers and cyber-dissidents (also available in French). Bloggers and hackers of the world, unite!
